Back in 2021, we released our first song, “Mississippi Rising.” It was the powerful imagery contained in this song that led us into collaboration with friend and noted filmmaker Paul Crowder to create videos for our releases. We firmly believe that music is greatly enhanced when it is a combined audio/visual experience, especially where the songs contain vivid stories.
Recently, we submitted the video to several film and music video festivals held in cities along the Mississipi: The Lake Charles Film Festival in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and The Muscatine Film Festival in Muscatine, Iowa.
Both festivals selected the video from the many entries submitted for inclusion in their events. The Lake Charles festival screened the video publicly on October 7th and awarded it 2nd Place in the Music Video category. The Muscatine festival has selected it for screening in the Music Video category to be held on November 4th and 5th.
Stay tuned for more updates on our cinema adventures!
"I'm pleased to inform you that your music video "Mississippi Rising" placed 2nd in our festival in the music video category. It was very well received by the audience and I personally had 2 conversations over dinner that night about your amazing video. Thanks so much for the submission to our festival."
